Marketing Executive (Retail Mall)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, coordinate, and execute engaging events and activations to enhance the visitor experience at the new retail malls in Putrajaya.
  • Collaborate with tenants and stakeholders to facilitate casual leasing opportunities, ensuring a diverse mix of short-term retailers.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, exhibitors, and sponsors to secure partnerships for events and leasing activities.
  • Report to and work closely with the Marketing Manager to align events and leasing strategies with overall marketing objectives.
  • Execute leasing agreements, negotiate terms, and ensure compliance with leasing guidelines.
  • Assist in developing marketing collateral for events and leasing opportunities.
  • Analyze the success of events and leasing activities, gathering feedback for continuous improvement.
  • Plan and organize Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programs to benefit the mall and surrounding community.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and competitor activities related to events and casual leasing in retail malls.

Key Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Advertising/Media, Mass Communications, Event Management, Marketing, or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in shopping complex or retail environment is an added advantage.
  • 1-2 years of working experience in event management, with a focus on casual leasing.
  • Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills for building relationships with tenants, vendors, and sponsors.
  • Creative and strategic thinker with a keen eye for detail in conceptualizing and implementing events aligned with the mall’s brand.
  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Bahasa Malaysia.
