Creative & Design

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communication Design Implementation:
    • Create a unique visual identity for a retail space in a heritage building, incorporating elements of its heritage while appealing to a contemporary retail audience.
    • Manage and maintain brand guidelines, ensuring consistency across all touchpoints.
  • Copywriting & Content Development:
    • Ensure that all creative work is sensitive to Malaysia’s multicultural heritage and the significance of the building’s legacy.
    • Conceptualise and design creative materials across digital and physical platforms including social media graphics, eDMs, digital screens, advertisements, POSM, visual merchandising, event collaterals, props, and other marketing communication assets in line with the brand identity.
    • Develop visual and multimedia content for websites and social media platforms, including digital illustrations, GIFs, and animated videos.
    • Provide ad-hoc visuals including videos, photographs, and graphic designs as requested by the team or management.
  • Trend Awareness & Innovation:
    • Stay current with design trends, tools, and techniques, bringing innovative and fresh ideas to enhance the team’s creative output.
  • Collaboration and Coordination:
    • Collaborate with the Marketing team, tenants, and other stakeholders to develop storyboards and marketing materials.
    • Assist in the creative development of event-related visuals including invites, posters, digital promos, wayfinding, signage, and on-site branding.
    • Collaborate with the programming and operations teams to conceptualise and execute events that align with the space’s identity and seasonal campaigns.
    • Oversee creative setup for launches, exhibitions, workshops, and retail activations, ensuring cohesive brand storytelling throughout the event journey.
    • Coordinate with photographers, videographers, and content teams to capture high-quality visuals for post-event content and archival use.
  • Project & Vendor Management:
    • Organise, label, and archive all content and design assets with proper file naming, tagging, and backups to ensure easy access and long-term storage.
    • Ensure all design projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
    • Coordinate with external vendors for quotations, invoices, printing, installation, and oversee the installation process to ensure accurate reproduction and timely delivery of visual materials.
  • Working Conditions:
    • Flexibility to work weekends, evenings, or during special events as needed.
    • Able to meet tight deadlines and manage multiple projects.
    • Support the marketing and promotion team with other duties as needed, including assisting in event planning, setup, and on-ground coordination.

Key Requirements:

  • Possess strong photography, photo and video editing skills, and understanding of UI/UX design principles.
  • At least 3 years of experience in graphic design. Knowledge of motion graphics and video editing techniques is a plus.
  • A Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Graphic Design, Multimedia, Visual Arts, or a related discipline.
  • Understanding of social media algorithms, best practices, and content strategies to maximize engagement.
  • Skilled in using design and video editing software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.), After Effects, CapCut, or equivalent.
  • Prior experience (1–2 years) creating compelling content for platforms like Instagram or TikTok is a strong plus.
  • Strong interpersonal abilities and fluent in written and spoken Bahasa Malaysia and English. Proficiency in Mandarin or other languages and knowledge of Malaysian History is a bonus.
  • Comfortable working autonomously and collaborating in small teams under tight deadlines.
  • Self-motivated with a genuine enthusiasm for storytelling and producing high-impact visual content.
  • Strong attention to detail with excellent creative problem-solving abilities.
