We are growing our Centre Management team with a new project in a Heritage Building in Kuala Lumpur. We are seeking dynamic, innovative and motivated team members to play key roles to further develop this business and create and set new standards of excellence.
About this Role:
We are seeking a Centre Manager with a strong foundation in marketing, who will be the driving force behind our project.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overall Management & Business Plan: Lead daily operations, marketing, revenue administration, and leasing.
- Set and manage budgets, advertising, promotions, events, public relations, and direct marketing initiatives.
- Ensure operations and branding initiatives reflect environmental sustainability goals and respect the heritage building’s cultural and historical significance.
- Identify and leverage strategic alliances for sponsorships, events, and public relations initiatives.
- Collaborate with tenants and partners to co-create activations that increase visibility and drive footfall.
- Lead and inspire the team towards achieving organisational goals.
- Build strong, collaborative relationships with tenants, internal teams, and external agencies to drive successful outcomes and long-term business value.
- Monitor and analyse KPIs related to footfall, sales performance, tenant mix, and campaign ROI to continuously optimise strategies.
- Policy Formulation: Plan and implement company policies for retail mall and property management.
- Marketing and Programming: Develop strategies to enhance customer visitation, merchandise mix, and tenant loyalty.
- Lead the creative development of a unique visual identity, narrative, and brand system, including communication design, digital promotion, on-site branding, programming and talent curation, and brand guidelines that honour the building’s heritage while appealing to a modern retail audience.
- Plan, execute, and manage social media and marketing strategies aligned with campaign goals and audience behaviour.
- Conceptualise and implement integrated marketing campaigns to drive awareness and engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing channels, visuals, signage, and event materials, with sensitivity to Malaysia’s multicultural context.
- Customer Experience: Champion exceptional visitor experience by overseeing wayfinding, customer service standards, and activation programming that enhances foot traffic and dwell time.
- Retail Trends Expert: Advise on current and future retail trends, bringing innovation to leasing and marketing strategies.
- Proactive Vacancy Management: Strategise for upcoming vacant retail spaces, ensuring swift and profitable occupancy.
- Leasing Terms Oversight: Review and ensure leasing terms protect the interests of the mall and owner.
- Service Contracts Management: Work with service providers to ensure contracts are up to date, ensuring operational efficiency.
- Financial Oversight: Manage revenue collection, submit operating budgets, and drive financial efficiency.
- Coordination with Authorities: Liaise with local authorities and third parties to minimise disruptions.
Key Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Property Management, Marketing, Business Administration, or a relevant field. Proven experience in mall management with a strong foundation in marketing. At least 7-10 years of relevant work experience, especially in retail centre management or marketing.
- Strong leadership and communication skills. Able to lead a team with an innovative mindset for retail trends.
- Financial acumen for budget management.
- Coordination skills with local authorities and third parties.
